What is NomadNest?
NomadNest Housing offers affordable, fully furnished, co-living spaces for students, young professionals, and digital nomads in Calgary. We turn standard apartments into comfortable shared homes—fully managed, flexible, and stress-free.
Who can rent with NomadNest?
Our spaces are open to students, interns, working professionals, and newcomers to Calgary. You don’t need to be a student to apply.
RENTAL INCLUSIONS
What does the rent include?
Furnished private or shared room
Utilities (electricity, heat, water)
Unlimited Wi-Fi
Access to shared kitchen, laundry, and common areas
Deep cleaning before move-in
Weekly cleaning of shared areas
Is there internet?
Yes, we provide complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi in all units.
BOOKING A ROOM
How do I book a room?
Choose your location and room type
Select your dates
Fill in your details and upload required documents
Pay the security deposit + service fee
Confirmation sent. You’re all set!
Can I visit before booking?
Absolutely. Book a virtual or in-person tour via facetime or whatsapp or any other platform to reach.

Guarantor document (if applicable)
PAYMENTS
How does rent payment work?
Pay your deposit and service fee to reserve the room
First month’s rent is due before move-in
Rent is paid monthly, not weekly
How do I pay rent?
You can pay via:

VERIFICATION & GUARANTOR
What is the verification process?
We verify your ID, proof of work/study, and may require a guarantor. This ensures safety and fit within our community.
What is a guarantor?
A person who agrees to cover rent if you're unable to pay. Usually a parent, relative, or close contact in Canada.
ROOMMATES & LIVING
Can I live with a friend?
Yes, just mention it during booking. We’ll do our best to place you together, based on availability.
Will I meet my roommates before move-in?
Roommates are usually confirmed at move-in. Our team will introduce you on arrival.
Are NomadNest units co-ed?
We offer mixed-gender, all-female, and all-male units depending on availability. Mention your preference during booking.
POLICIES
What is your cancellation policy?
Please refer to our official policy: Cancellation Policy
Can I cancel due to visa or class issues?
Yes, with valid documentation (e.g. visa refusal or program cancellation). Service fees may still apply.
Is the security deposit refundable?
Yes. It's returned within 21 business days after move-out, minus any damage or cleaning fees. See: Furniture Deposit Policy
AMENITIES & CONDITIONS
Do I get my own bathroom?
Unless you book a master bedroom, bathrooms are shared (usually with 1-2 others).
Do units have kitchens?
Yes, all properties come with fully equipped kitchens (dishes, cookware, appliances included).
Is there laundry?
Yes, every building has in-unit or on-site laundry facilities.
Do doors have locks?
Due to fire regulations, we do not install individual door locks. However, units have secure access and safety protocols.
Is parking available?
Parking may be available with long-term leases (6–12 months). Ask our team for current availability.
GUESTS, SMOKING & RULES
Can I have guests?
Yes, but overnight guests must be approved in writing. Unauthorized overnight stays are subject to a $125/night penalty.
Can I smoke in the unit?
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the unit or balcony. Designated outdoor areas must be used.
Can I bring my own furniture or linens?
Yes, but you must return the room in its original furnished condition, including clean linens.
MOVE-IN / MOVE-OUT
What’s the move-in process?
Move-in starts at 4 PM. You’ll get orientation, key handover, and meet your housing coordinator.
How can I extend my stay?
Submit your request in writing at least 30 days in advance. Extensions are subject to availability.
